I have to share something with you!
The Number 13 . The number 13 has been considered an unlucky number among many cultures for thousands of years. Friday the 13th is considered the unluckiest day except for those people born on the 13th, for whom it is a good day. The superstition about Friday the 13th may be based on Norse legend about the goddess Freya, who was banished for being a witch. It was believed that each Friday, a day called "witches Sabbath", twelve witches and the devil met to make this mischief and to do evil deeds.
Walking Under a Ladder. Superstitions about walking under ladders have a number of sources. One early belief was that a leaning ladder made a triangle, a symbol of life, with the wall and the floor. Anyone walking through this triangle would be punished unless countercharms, such as making a wish or crossing the fingers, were used. The superstition also has a sensible basis. A ladder can collasp, or tools lying on its rungs can fall and hurt someone underneath!!
