Blaze of Glory: Katherine Heigl hits
the Oscars in this year's de rigueur color, styling a dazzling, one-shouldered
fire-engine-red Escada that hugs her super-svelte, statuesque frame tighter than Katie Holmes to Tom Cruise's back.
Alas, while the lovely actress' dress is drop-dead glam, the same can't be said
for her hair and makeup, which were apparently spray-painted and shellacked on,
respectively, by stylists who simply wanted her to drop dead. Heigl
unfortunately goes from high-class to cartoonish courtesy of tresses better
suited to a "Que Sera Sera"-singing Doris Day; lips that
would have the Joker pointing and giggling; and cheeks that look like Raggedy
Ann after a run-in with a pinch-loving grandma.
